The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Nairobi covers 11 sub-Saharan African countries. Our goal is to cover the political, economic, consular and cultural spheres with the Great Lakes region, the Central East region and Africa's Rhine. The Slovak Republic is active in the area of development aid in Kenya, which became the program country of the SLOVAK AID program in 2009. At the same time, the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Nairobi fulfills the role of the Permanent Mission of the Slovak Republic to the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) and the United Nations Human Settlement Program (UN HABITAT). The United Nations Office in Nairobi is one of four United Nations offices in the world. The Ambassador of the Slovak Republic in Nairobi also holds the position of the Permanent Representative of the Slovak Republic at UNEP and UN HABITAT.
